Rescinding of Court Order

Questions & AnswersCategory: JudgementsRescinding of Court Order

I have been under debt review but am approved and declared NLOI (17.W received).  However, to rescind my court order, according to the attorney, is going to take between 3-6 months.  I cannot wait that long.  Is there any way I can get vehicle finance in the mean time?

Hi there,

Unfortunately, if there is a court order issued on the debt review it will have to be rescinded.

Some of the courts are quite busy, but 6 months seem a bit long. You can in the meantime, if your debt has been repaid, ask for a clearance certificate (Form 19) which you can send to the credit bureaus. They should be able to update your debt review listing upon receipt of a Form 19. If your credit profile improves and the debt review flag is gone, you should be able to apply for vehicle financing.
