Please Assist

Anonymous asked 2 years ago

Hi. I need some advice.

I requested an outstanding balance from Direct Axis on an account. The opening balance was R43808.00 and I start payments on 07/06/2010.  On 17/03/2014 they informed me my balance outstanding is R11527.15. I continued paying them monthly until 24/11/2015 when I requested another statement, as for my records I was now paid up. They then replied that my outstanding amount due were now R35764.15 .

I am currently under debt review, but to get answers from my debt counsellor is a mission.  What are my options?

Hi there.

Thank you for getting in touch.

If you are unhappy with the service your debt counsellor is providing, or not providing, you have the right to change companies.

You are welcome to send your details to [email protected] and we will be happy to assist you.  The increase in the balance might be due to various factors such as the instalment being less that the interest that is added or the bank might simply have made a mistake.

Have a great day.
