We applied for debt review beginning of June and we started paying the agree amount in August but our problem is up to now, our bank statements reflect that no payments have been made. Is the payments supposed to show it the monthly statements from the creditors?

The second thing the DC is avoiding us like pests when we try to get any information regarding our debts. She won’t send us the PDA statements to show that the payments are being made. What can we do?

Hi there.

Thank you for getting in touch.

Depending on who the creditor is, the payments might not reflect on your normal statement. Some of the creditors put the debt review payments on a complete new account in order to more easily adjust the interest rates etc. There is however no excuse for your DC not supplying the PDA statements. If you struggle you can also contact the PDA directly and ask them for the statements. In terms of the PDA service level agreement with the NCR, they must send you a statement.

With DebtSafe, you get access to an online consumer portal where you can view and download payments and statements anywhere, anytime. It is crucial for your DC be transparent and open with regards to your debt review. If your DC is avoiding you the NCR has a complaints department who can deal with an issue such as that.

Kind regards.
