Is This A Consolidation Loan?

Questions & AnswersIs This A Consolidation Loan?
Anonymous asked 2 years ago

I need to know if once I am done with settling my debt, will this show on my credit record or review that I took out a consolidation loan.

For example if I take this out, I will have one monthly instalment to pay.
Will I be able to take out a cell phone contract whilst settling my debt with you?

Hi there.

Thanks for your question.

Debt review is the process that reworks your debt payments into an affordable, consolidated repayment plan – so debt reviews combines all your debt repayments into one.  Please note however that debt review is not a consolidation loan.

What is great about debt review is that your repayment plan is formulated in such a way that it enables you to pay for essential living costs, giving you immediate breathing space. Your repayment plan is agreed upon by your creditors (we negotiate with them on your behalf), regulated by the National Credit Act and authorised through a court order. This means that the debt review process legally protects you, and your assets, against creditors who want to take legal action against you.

Plus, once you have completed the debt review process you will receive a clearance certificate.  The clearance certificate is sent to all credit bureaus, which is then required by law to remove all information related to you previous debt, giving you a clear credit score.

For more information about debt review you are welcome to fill in our online contact form on this page and we’ll contact you.

Have a great day.
