Questions & AnswersCredit Report and Consolidation Loan
Zak asked 1 month ago

I would like to know which Credit report views all my debts and how can I pay them off properly and start a new clear credit profile as TransUnion and Experian show different things, I just want settlement amount so I can get clean and which institution will provide consolidation loan as I was declined by Old Mutual.

Good day,

Thank you for getting in touch.

There is unfortunately not a “main” credit bureau that will have all your info. Ideally, each credit bureau should have all your info, but as you have seen it doesn’t necessarily happen. We would suggest pulling your record from the four biggest credit bureaus (TransUnion, Experian, XDS and Compuscan), between them you should be able to get a good idea of what you owe to whom. Alternatively, you can request Certificate of Balances (COB’s) at all your credit providers for the most recent and accurate outstanding amounts.

Regarding consolidation loans. We do not offer consolidation loans – we consolidate debt through Debt Review. With consolidation loans, you only shift your debt from one place to another. Most people will not qualify for a consolidation loan. Unlike consolidation loans, which have very strict requirements (and at the end leaves you with more debt) Debt Review restructures your credit obligations to an affordable, consolidated, monthly repayment plan.

Kind regards
