Completely Remove My Profile from Credit Bureau

Questions & AnswersCategory: Credit ReportCompletely Remove My Profile from Credit Bureau
David asked 4 months ago

Hi There,

I would like to know how can I get my entire profile removed from the credit bureaus.
As in have it completely removed. All data deleted.
In today’s world, I don’t believe their systems are secure enough and I want all traceable information about me removed.
How would I do this?
It should also be noted that I live in a “cash in hand world”. I have no accounts or debt and have no intention at this point to get accounts. Everything I need, I pay with cash.

Thanks.

Good day,

The short answer is no, you cannot completely remove your information from the credit bureaus.

The credit bureaus have a lawful authorisation to have information of South African citizens.

You can, however, make an objection to wrong information about you on the credit bureaus.

Kind regards
